How long does it take to build a custom dining table? Most custom dining tables take between 8–14 weeks from the time we finalize the design and you approve the quote. Larger or more complex pieces may take a little longer. We keep you updated throughout the entire process and you can always reach out if you’re looking for a progress pic.
How much does a custom dining table cost? Custom dining tables typically range from $3,000 to $12,000+, depending on size, wood species, edge style, base design, and finish. We provide clear, detailed quotes with no surprise upcharges. Smaller pieces like a coffee table, or side table can range from $500-$2,500. Our normal terms are 50% down to start and 50% upon completion. Many clients find the long-term value far exceeds mass-produced furniture.
What wood species do you work with? We commonly build with walnut, white oak, red oak, cherry, ash, mahogany, parota and maple. Each wood has its own beauty, grain, and color. During your consultation I’ll show you samples so you can choose what feels right for your home.
What is the difference between live edge and straight edge tables? Live-edge tables keep the natural, organic shape of the tree for a unique, nature-inspired look. Straight-edge (hardwood board) tables have clean, uniform edges for a more classic or modern appearance. Both styles are fully customizable and built to the same high standard.
Do you refinish existing dining tables? Yes! We specialize in bringing tired or damaged hardwood tables back to life. We will fully strip the table top, repair any damage and re-stain/re-spray the table. We make old tables look and perform like new again.
Can I provide my own wood slab or materials? Absolutely. If you have lumber or a live edge slab you love, we’re happy to evaluate it and build your table. The slab/lumber needs to be properly dried and suitable for furniture use. We’ll let you know upfront if it will work well.
Do you build wood and steel furniture? Yes. I design and fabricate custom steel bases in-house and pair them with beautiful hardwood tops. This combination is very popular for its clean, modern look and incredible strength. We also offer stand alone metal bases for stone or glass tops.
Do you offer delivery and installation? Yes. We deliver and set up your furniture directly in your home. We take great care during transport and placement so everything arrives safely and looks perfect.
How do I get started with a custom project? Just reach out! We begin with a friendly conversation (phone, email, or in-person) to talk about your needs, space, style, and budget. Once we have those details I get you a ballpark quote. If the ballpark seems doable then we can complete the detailed quote for approval. We can also setup a time for you to stop by the woodshop or for me to stop by your space to discuss the project.
